PERRY, Okla. — Today is the funeral for the Oklahoma World War II veteran, Herman White, in Perry, Oklahoma.

When White died earlier this month, he was all alone, with no family and no close friends.

But his funeral today is turning out to be a much different story.

The funeral is set to include a dove release and letters from the governor, a Navy admiral, and President Trump.

White will receive his proper send-off with Taps and a flag presentation, rifle volley, a eulogy, and moment of silence.

Officials say the parking will be limited. Buses will be driving from Perry Plaza at 1502 Fir Street to the cemetery from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. and driving to Grace Hill Cemetery located at 500 Memorial Drive in Perry, Oklahoma, officials say.

Officials say the benches under the pavilion are for VIPs, the blue tent is for handicapped, elderly seating and the other chairs are first come, first serve.
