One greeter at a Walmart in Muskogee is known all over town for her infectious energy when she welcomes shoppers.
You hear it all the time… “Welcome to Walmart”.
It’s the slogan you hear all over the country from greeters standing at the entrance of your neighborhood store.
“You walk in, you see her and she's yelling at ya, ‘welcome to Walmart’… all over the store," said Scott Yandell, who is organizing the fundraiser.
In Muskogee, there's a greeter who is a community fixture for her big welcome.
“She's awesome. you can hear her all over the store. She's great. She wanted to make you welcome. She knows how to make you welcome,” said Terry Eller, a Walmart shopper,"
Yandell and Eller are talking about Yolanda Crawford.
This season, some shoppers are making sure their greeter is having a memorable Christmas.
“People were talking about how they'd love to help her get into a vehicle, once they found out she was walking to work, so I wanted to step up and help out as much as I can," said Yandell.
The group has raised $2,400 in less than 24 hours for a woman who to Muskogee just two years ago.
“She's doing a job well done and people want to take care of her. Muskogee wants to step up and help her out," said Yandell.
Organizers of the fundraiser tell 2 Works For You they hope to get the new car to Crawford before Christmas.

Donations will be accepted by mail or in person at all Firstar bank locations (Fort Smith; Muskogee, Sallisaw, Roland, Tulsa).
Donations can be mailed to Firstar Bank, 510 N. Main Street, Muskogee, OK 74401.
Donors can visit the lobby or drive-in tellers (7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays).
