TULSA – As the 2015 Tulsa State Fair approaches, security measures for the event have been shifted slightly by the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office.

The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that they will continue to provide security services for the Tulsa State Fair but with one change. Last year, TCSO used reserve deputies for security, but this year they will substitute them for full-time deputies.

TCSO went on to say that the change is due to the fact that the reserve deputy program is currently inactive.

“It has always been the goal of the TCSO during the fair to provide everyone with a safe environment by having a professional law enforcement presence. That will continue for this year’s fair by having more of our full-time certified deputies present,” said Sheriff Glanz.

The Tulsa State Fair runs from Oct. 1st through the October 11 at the Expo Fair Grounds.

*Editors note: A previous version of this story stated that the grand jury investigation was a factor for the change, the version has been edited to reflect that is not the case.
