TULSA — Friday marks the 121st birthday for the city of Tulsa.
In 1898, when the city was first incorporated, its population was a mere 1,100.
In 1905, those in the city began to build houses, businesses and water systems.
Tulsa was known as the Oil Capital of the World in its early days after it was discovered.
