According to Cherokee Nation W.W. Hastings Hospital, anyone from the ages of 3 and older can get a flu vaccine for free.
The flu season typically runs September to March, but each year it peaks during different months.
The U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention is encouraging early flu shots this year.
Officials say clients can get a free flu vaccine shot today, October 21st, until November 1st from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., located at the Community Health Clinic in the W.W. Hastings Hospital's main entrance.
