Four of the five members of the Berryhill Fire Protection District Board resigned at their board meeting Tuesday night.
This comes after a meeting last Thursday to discuss the Berryhill Fire Department chief's employment.
Citizens filled up the room and spoke out in favor of the chief, saying board members had no reason to fire him.
The board voted to put the chief on probation until the end of the year.
The person who still remains on the board is the only one who spoke in favor of the chief at last week's meeting.
