An Arkansas towing company was attempting to repossess the car of a former Wagoner County law enforcement member when he was struck by the tow truck.
The tow truck driver did not have any paperwork regarding the repossession of the vehicle.
According to officials, the car was not properly attached to the tow truck.
In the process of moving the car, the former deputy was struck by the back dual wheels of the tow truck.
The former deputy sustained a head injury and broken femur, he was to a local hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the tow truck was arrested.
