Fmr. TPD ofc. Shannon Kepler accused of fatally shooting daughter's boyfried in court Tues.

TULSA – The former Tulsa police officer accused of fatally shooting his daughter’s boyfriend while off-duty is expected in court Tuesday.

This week, Shannon Kepler is scheduled to appear for a motion hearing.  

In May a judge scheduled the retired Tulsa police officer’s trial for October 3. Shannon Keplerpleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and two counts of shooting with the intent to kill in the 2014 death of Jeremey Lake, 19.

Kepler had been scheduled to go to trial in January, but the trial was delayed when Kepler's attorney asked for Holmes to recuse herself from the case because she used to be an assistant district attorney.
