TULSA - A former spokesman for the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office claims he was wrongfully fired.

Shannon Clark was terminated from his position not long after former reserve deputy Robert Bates fatally shot an unarmed man bringing to light several issues within the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office.

In a letter to the agency and other officials, Clark says he's prepared to sue unless he's "adequately compensated in the maximum amount allowed by law.”

Clark also says he was wrongly blamed for leaking a 2009 internal report that questioned the field training of Bates.
Bates has pleaded not guilty to second-degree manslaughter in the death of Eric Harris.

We are still waiting for a comment from the sheriff's office.
