The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma plans to reopen operations of its Tulsa facility on Thursday, July 16.

The Food Bank temporarily closed Wednesday after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19, according to Food Bank officials.

The employee tested positive for coronavirus on July 14 and is currently in quarantine.

Officials said people who had contact with the staff member have been notified, are in quarantine, and are being tested for COVID-19.

Partner agencies of the Food Bank are aware of the situation and rescheduled to receive their food Thursday and Friday, July 16 and 17, officials said. McAlester agencies can pick up food on Monday, July 20.

The Food Bank said it will continue to follow CDC guidelines of maintaining physical distancing, wearing face coverings in the building, and maintaining cleaning and sanitization processes.
