BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — A floor furnace is the suspected cause of a house fire in Broken Arrow on Monday that left three people dead.
The fire happened at about 11:45 a.m. in the 500 block of West Elgin Street.
Firefighters executed search-and-rescue operations at the home but two young children and one man died despite life-saving efforts. The victims have been identified as Shannon Wagers, 29; Kaylynn Wagers, 3; and Aris Wagers, 1.
The Broken Arrow Fire Department suspects the cause of the fire to be from combustible materials coming into contact with a floor furnace.
There were no working smoke detectors in the home.
