Flood victims offered loans to rebuild

TULSA — You don’t have to be a small business to receive help from the Small Business Administration Disaster Loan Program.

SBA officials say several homeowners and renters will be referred to the program as well.

The loan will help all approved flood victims rebuild damaged property and help restore communities.

“We want people that we know can repay the loan so it’s the repayment ability is one," said Roger Busch with the SBA Disaster Loan Program. "We look at that and credit-wise we are a little more lenient than a lot of lenders however we don’t want to make a loan to somebody we know won’t pay it back.”

To get help from the program you’ll need to register with FEMA, fill out the application, and stop by the SBA’s Recovery Business Center in Tulsa.

If you do not get approved, you’ll be referred back to FEMA to receive assistance.
