Another day of chilling testimonies for the Michael Bever trial where a teen is accused of stabbing five of his family members to death.
Three police officers and two firefighters went on the stand today talking about what they saw in the house, and some who interacted with Bever that night.
The first witness was the first police officer to arrive at the house in Broken Arrow that night.
He brought Michael to his patrol vehicle after he was apprehended and said Michael was emotionless, flat, and stoic.
He testified that Michael said to him "I hope they're okay" talking about the people inside the home.
He said it was the bloodiest scene of his 15 year career in law enforcement.|
One firefighter said that he thinks about that night everyday and it sticks out to him.
The courtroom filled with emotions after seeing the gruesome pictures of the family members killed that night.
"It’s our belief that they’re going to find Michael is in a different position than Robert," District Attorney Corbin Brewster said. "The two boys are very different, and that's what the trial is about."
So far seven people have testified in this case and all have been called by the state.
The DA asked the court to make Robert Bever available for this trial, but they said they don't know if he will actually be called.
It'll depend on what evidence comes out.
