Two groups got together to make a difference for our heroes and at-risk children.
The first ever Run With a Hero 5-K was held at Tulsa's Mohawk Park today.
The Eagle Ops Foundation partnered with the Tulsa Dream Center, where children could learn from role models, such as veterans and first responders.
One of the first responders, a Marine Corps Veteran, says today's 5-K has a bigger goal.
Stacy Hester, Co-Founder of Eagle Ops Veteran Foundation, tells us "to see this event come together, the community to come together to support the veterans, our military serving, as well as out first responders, it is a huge deal to us. It is our mission to bring our heroes home."
About 400 people participated in today's event.
