Firefighters rescue woman who fell from bridge

TULSA - Firefighters rescued a woman who fell from the historic Route 66 bridge over the Arkansas river Tuesday night.

Tulsa police say the woman's friends told her there were "satanic symbols" painted on the underside of the bridge. Around 10:30 p.m, She tried to climb under the bridge, and when she turned to look for the symbols, she lost her footing and fell into the river.

Her friends then called 911 for help.

The Tulsa Fire Department put a boat in the water to help with the rescue. Firefighters rescued her from a bridge support.

Officers say the woman is unharmed, but is quite shaken by the experience. Paramedics checked her out just to be safe.

Tulsa Police also called in a helicopter to help with the search.
