TULSA, Okla. — Firefighters are investigating an apartment fire in midtown Tuesday evening, according to the Tulsa Fire Department.
Crews responded to Darlington Oaks Apartments near South Braden Avenue and East 51st Street South.
There was extensive fire damage in two units upstairs. The fire was contained, officials said. There was minimal smoke damage in two other units.
There was no indication of an explosion, and no one was injured, officials said. However, a dog died in the fire.
Eight families are displaced due to the fire, and possibly 16 families need to be relocated due to electrical concerns, officials said.
The Red Cross is working to assist the displaced families.
