TULSA – The investigation into the cause of an overnight fire in midtown is still ongoing.
Firefighters say they found heavy flames and smoke at a building at 33rd Street and South Peoria. The first crews to respond to the home were able to quickly extinguish the flames on the first floor.
“They limited most of the damage to the exterior of the building, there is some amount of smoke damage throughout the building. We had companies come in, clear the building, determine no one was inside,” said Tulsa Fire Dept. Capt. Jim Nemo.
Crews say the fire damaged about a thousand square feet inside the structure with extensive damage outside.
No one was hurt.
