TULSA - Firefighters said Sunday that hot ashes were the cause of an early morning house fire.
The fire started around 8:30 Sunday morning near East 77th Street and South Fulton Avenue.
Two people were inside the home when the fire started, but were able to make it out safely.
Firefighters say the fire was caused by ashes not being thrown away. In total, $40,000 worth of damage was caused to the home.
