Tulsa's Premiere Soccer Club celebrated the city's holiday a week early due to the pandemic.
FC Tulsa along with the Oklahoma Blood Institute were at ONEOK Field to celebrate Tulsa's 918 Day. The event is usually scheduled on September 18th, but moved up to September 12th this year.
Participants could donate blood with OBI, donate canned goods, and even a teddy bear donation. FC Tulsa gave fourteen local artists the chance to display and cell their art after missing out on Mayfest.
Austin Gwin, Head of Digital & Communications for FC Tulsa, tells us, "Not having MayFest back in May was a big loss for those vendors so to be able to offer them this opportunity, while maybe not as big as MayFest was, it’s just another way we could give back to Tulsa and to 918.”
