According to officials, an individual was shot by a hotel security guard after an altercation, just after 12:00 p.m.
The victim, 36-year-old Carlos Carson, was a guest at the hotel and was upset about some vandalism to his vehicle Friday night.
Carson can be seen on security footage leaving the property per the manager's request.
When Carson came back on property, the security guard, Christopher Straight, stepped out of his vehicle and pepper sprayed him.
According to the report, Carson did not appear to be physically aggressive or provoke Straight into using pepper spray.
An altercation between the two took place; Straight then shot Carson in the head, killing him.
Carson was pronounced dead at the scene from the gunshot wound.
While being questioned by detectives, Straight admitted that he pepper sprayed the victim to "deter" him from being aggressive.
Christopher Straight is being charged with first degree manslaughter.
