Family: Solider dies after basic training at Fort Sill

According to Hawaii News Now a Fort Sill solider has died during basic training.

The Army is investigating the death of 19-year-old Austin Williander of Waianae, Hawaii, who died at Fort Sill in late August.

Williander's body was flown back to Oahu, Hawaii on Thursday.

Willander's family was informed that he may have died of a heat stroke during training. However, the cause of his death is still under investigation.

According to his family, Williander had only been at Fort Sill for a couple months, joining the Army after graduating from Waianae High School this year.
