Firefighters battled intense flames while containing a house fire Thursday morning.
First responders were called to the home near 32nd and North Lansing just before 4am.
Two people lived in the house, and were not hurt.
However, the family did lose their dog in the fire. Another dog make it out safely.
Crews say the fire seemed to have started in the living room. The home is a total loss.
