TULSA – The Crutcher family spoke in front of the Tulsa County courthouse Thursday after the Tulsa County District Attorney made the announcement that Tulsa Police Officer Betty Shelby will face first degree manslaughter charges.

Tiffany Crutcher said the family is “pleased with the charges” and continued saying “We take solace in the outpour of support from our community.”
Tiffany Crutcher: While we are pleased to learn that the officer who senselessly killed our brother, we know that will not bring him back.

She went on to say “We are going to break the chain of injustice. The chain breaks right here in Tulsa, Oklahoma.”

The legal team for the Crutcher family went on to say “Let Tulsa be a beacon, to be an example of being trustworthy and being one city. We can only have that with justice.”
