TULSA -- An overnight house fire Saturday forced a Midtown family from their home.
The fire broke out near I-244 and Sheridan Road around 10 p.m. Saturday. All four residents and their three animals made it out of the home safely.
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames, preventing further loss.
Crews came across some reactive metals that they say caused more flames, but they were able to stop the reaction.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
