SAPULPA, Okla. — Sapulpa fire officials say six people managed to escape a fire inside an apartment by climbing out of the windows on Christmas night.
By the time firefighters arrived at the Cambridge Court Apartments on South Birch Street, three adults and three children were safely out of the unit.
Crews quickly put out the flames.
One unit of the complex was damaged. The Red Cross was called in overnight to help the displaced family.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
