The Federal Aviation Administration will award more than $7 million in airport infrastructure grants to two Green Country airports, the U.S. Department of Transportation announced Wednesday.
The grants include:
- Tulsa -- Richard Lloyd Jones, Jr. Airport -- $2,310,000 for surface improvements
- Stillwater -- Sillwater Regional Airport -- $5,200,000 for surface reconstruction
The grants are part of $840 million in airport infrastructure grants across the country.
“This significant investment in airport improvements at these Oklahoma airports will fund construction and rehabilitation projects that will help maintain high levels of safety in U.S. aviation,” said U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Elaine L. Chao.
