MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) -- The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says a former Muskogee County Jail employee has been charged after having sexual contact with an inmate.
Authorities announced Tuesday that 22-year-old Harold Eugene Shinn III has been arrested on a first-degree rape charge. The bureau said that Shinn was dismissed from his job in January by Muskogee County authorities after they learned of a claim that Shinn had a sexual encounter with a female inmate.
A probable cause affidavit says that Shinn had sex with the inmate in the Muskogee County Jail medical area in June.
Online court records do not list an attorney who could speak on Shinn's behalf.
