TULSA - A man was arrested after a domestic assault investigation led police to a marijuana grow, say authorities.

Saturday night, a woman told police that she had been pistol-whipped by her boyfriend and said he pointed a gun at her face, threatening to kill her and her child. She also alerted authorities to the fact that he was growing marijuana in their apartment.

Police were called to the Wal-Mart at 66th and Memorial where they spoke to the woman about her 29-year-old boyfriend, Justin Cleveland. Officers said the woman gave them permission to go to the apartment and to search it.

When authorities arrived at the apartment they said Cleveland came out with a 1 1-2 year old girl and he admitted to officers that there was a gun and a marijuana plant in the apartment. Upon searching the residence, police say they found the marijuana plant, 432 grams of high-grade marijuana, scales, baggies, a large amount of cash, and a loaded gun that had been stolen. Police say the gun belonged to the son of a Florida State Trooper, who had given the gun to him as a gift.

Cleveland was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence by strangulation, cultivation of marijuana, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen fire arm, and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute in the presence of a minor.
