Following Thursday’s deadly robbery at the Bank of Eufaula, the community is rallying together for support.

Dozens gathered at Lighthouse Christian Church for a prayer service Thursday night.

All hoping for a speedy recovery for the two women injured in the robbery. Both Betty Howell and a customer that was taken hostage are recovering at the hospital.

Prayers are also being sent to the friends and family of Randy Peterson. Many remembering a man that was well loved by the entire community.

“I couldn’t believe it was true, because of who he was and how he treated people, I didn’t understand why someone would want to hurt him,” Kelsey Skinner, Peterson’s customer said.

The community continues to recover. The Bank of Eufaula will be closed for the remainder of the week and it’s not clear when it will reopen.
