McAlester resident Courtney Mitchell was sitting in the audience when a familiar face was put on the screen by the host: her baby. Mitchell was then brought on stage where Ellen chatted with her about her life and education.
Mitchell explained to Ellen that she never completed her college education in order to take care of her family. Now, she is eager to return to school and become an ultrasound tech or something similar.
Ellen then surprised the mother with a $25,000 check from the University of Phoenix to complete her Bachelor’s degree. Watch the surprise below!
