OKMULGEE COUNTY, Okla. -- An elderly couple is dead following a crash Friday near Okmulgee.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that the crash happened on U.S. 75 near 241st Street in the town of Winchester.
State troopers said a Freightliner struck a vehicle driven by 82-year-old Alvin Cooper when Cooper failed to yield at a stop sign.
The collision killed Cooper and his 82-year-old passenger, Elvie. Both victims lived in Depew, according to OHP.
Troopers said the wreck did not hurt the driver of the Freightliner.
