CHEROKEE COUNTY -- An eight-year-old boy is in stable condition after a truck backed over him in Cherokee County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that the driver of a truck was driving on a county road near Tahlequah. Troopers said the child involved dropped a game from the bed of the truck.
Troopers said the child jumped out of the truck, and the driver backed over him.
The boy is now recovering at a hospital.
