TULSA - An early morning fire near 12th and Memorial destroyed four apartment units, according to the Tulsa Fire Department.

Around 2 a.m. Saturday, firefighters were called to 1240 S. Memorial Dr. to an apartment fire. It took around an hour to douse the fire and when all was said and done, eight apartments were involved near the fire and four of those, firefighters said, would have to be rebuilt.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation but it is believed to have started in a light fixture, TFD said. Firefighters said residents would be able to recover belongings after investigators finished at the scene. No injuries were reported.
