Drugs, gun, cash recovered after police chase

TULSA, Okla. - A man is in jail after leading Tulsa Police on a chase through Midtown before crashing into a chain link fence.

Officers say they originally found the driver, identified as Sebastian Cobelo, asleep in his car near 11th and South Sheridan. The officers noticed Cobelo had a gun in the car.

Cobelo was ordered out of the car, but police say he sped away instead.

The suspect led officers on a short chase until crashing the vehicle into a fence in the 900 block of South Joplin. Police say Cobelo ran away, but was apprehended with the help of a K9 officer and taken into custody.

Officers recovered a stolen semiautomatic pistol, along with a large amount of methamphetamine and a nearly a half ounce of marijuana from the suspect's car.

The officer's also recovered a large amount of cash.
