A driver is in custody after Sapulpa police say he led them on a chase which ended in west Tulsa.
Officers say they tried to pull over the SUV for an expired paper tag early Tuesday morning, but the man took off.
The chase went through several neighborhoods, before crossing the Tulsa city limits.
The suspect bailed out of the SUV while it was still in drive, running over his own leg. The SUV then crashed into a car and car port near 41st West Avenue and West 42nd Street.
Paramedics took the man to the hospital to check out his leg injury.
