TULSA - A man celebrated his birthday in jail Sunday after being arrested by police for running red light, trying to elude officers.

Tulsa Police say they saw Timothy Waggle, who just turned 38, run a red light in north Tulsa. According to the police report Waggle, with a female passenger in his gray Dodge pickup, did not stop for the stop sign nor for the police lights.

The pursuit went from N. Lewis to Mohawk Park where a police helicopter followed Waggle until he surrendered in a wooded area.

The female passenger was also arrested on felony warrants. Her name has not been released.

Waggle was charged with possession of a stolen auto, drug possession, running the red light, and felony warrant for auto theft.

Upon investigation, the truck Waggle was driving had been stolen out of Panama, Okla., police say.
