TULSA, Okla. - More than a thousand people in Northwest Tulsa lost power after a car crash Thursday night.
Authorities tell us an 18-year-old was driving drunk and lost control of his Toyota 4Runner near 65th West Avenue and Charles Page Boulevard just before midnight.
The SUV hit a power pole, causing a large outage.
A section of Charles Page Boulevard was closed overnight while power crews repaired the damaged pole and lines.
At one point, more than 1,400 PSO customers were in the dark.
Power was restored early Friday morning.
The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
