SAPULPA, Okla.- Firefighters worked to save a home from burning to the ground Thursday.
A downed power line ignited the home it was resting on early in the afternoon.
Firefighters were unable to go in and battle the blaze until OG&E crews arrived and cleared the line.
Luckily, minimal damage was done to the home, but the damage to equipment inside the garage is extensive.
Homeowners say the damage is a huge setback.
"I'll see what goes. I'll probably do most of the work myself because I'm used to working on houses but I'm pretty old and I don't like to do it but I have to do what I've got to do," said homeowner Adelaide Hardee.
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire once they entered the blaze.
