TULSA - A man suspected of the murders of two men at a west Tulsa motel on Nov. 18 was tracked down Friday night by the Tulsa Police Department and after a short standoff, pepperballs brought the suspect out.

James Mahdavi, 53, was arrested in connection to the murders of 29-year-old Leroy Coleman and 51-year-old Rodney McGee at the Holiday Express Motel in west Tulsa.

Police say a call Friday night led officers to Mahdavi's uncle's house at 218 S. 33rd W. Ave. where the relative told them Mahdavi was hiding in an attic of a shed in the back yard.

When approached, officers say Mahdavi told them he was not giving up. That's when police say they used pepperballs to force him out.

Mahdavi  was taken into custody and booked on double homicide charges.
