TULSA, Okla. - Do you have extra Halloween candy you're not sure what to do with?
You can donate it for a good cause at Tulsa Braces.
The orthodontist office located off 45th St and Harvard is having their annual "Sweet Swap" in which they collect candy donations and then send it to soldiers overseas.
Dr. Llon Clendenen says last year they sent about 1,500 care packages through the organization, Blue Star Mothers.
He says the drive also helps to encourage children to not eat all their candy at once and avoid developing cavities.
In addition, Dr. Clendenen's office is creating an incentive by providing $1,000 donation to the school that donates the most candy. Last year, Lindbergh Elementary School from Tulsa Public Schools won first place for collecting 295 lbs. of candy.
The Sweet Swap ends on Friday, November 3.
