Dog recovers at home after leg is amputated

ROGERS COUNTY, Okla. - A family dog returned home after having his leg amputated due to a gunshot wound.

An Owasso family says Bruno is finally home after his surgery Friday.

 

Bruno is doing SO. MUCH. BETTER!!! He might even get to come home tonight!!!

A GoFundMe account set up for Bruno has already raised more than $10,000.

Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton said his deputy was investigating a crime in the area when he felt threatened by the dog.

Walton said his deputy used his gun to protect himself.

Meanwhile, Walton says his agency has been inundated with backlash over the shooting.
