HOMINY, Okla. — The Oklahoma Department of Corrections says an inmate-on-inmate assault has resulted in a lockdown at the Dick Conner Correctional Center in Osage County.
DOC also has canceled weekend visitation at the medium-security facility.
As the investigation continues, "this is a customary action we take to protect inmates whenever we have violence on the yard," DOC says.
According to officials, the fight took place inside the gym about 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
Five inmates were injured in the assault, but none were serious, according to the state.
