DEWEY, Okla.- A Dewey man was arrested Wednesday in connection to the death of his grandmother.
Dewey police chief Mike Shea says 20-year-old Donald Shimko called police around 4:30 a.m Wednesday to the Lakeshore Trailer Park to tell them his grandmother was dead.
Police say they believe 64-year-old Alvita Shimko died of blunt trauma to her head.
Donald Shimko was booked into jail on second-degree murder charges.
Police say they do not know a possible motive at this time.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is assisting Dewey police with the investigation.
