Deputies: Man taken into custody after reports of suspicious behavior

OKMULGEE COUNTY, Okla. -- Officials with the Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office are looking said a man has been arrested after they received reports Tuesday of suspicious behavior near a daycare and residences south of Morris.

Deputies responded to the area of Highway 52 and Bristlecone Road after they received reports of a suspicious man approaching residences and a daycare in the area.

The man, who was identified as Preston "Rooster" Holley, fled before law enforcement officials could arrive. He was arrested by members of the Okmulgee Police Department.

Deputies said Holley has a history of lewd molestation and is wanted for failure to register as a sex offender.

Witnesses said Holley regularly hitchhikes in the area.
