Inspectors with the Oklahoma Department of Labor are inspecting 61 rides at the Tulsa Fairgrounds before the fair kicks off Thursday.
The labor commissioner said they have been inspecting the rides since Saturday and will be at the grounds throughout the fair to make sure they're safe.
The midway has a new operator this year. Fair organizers say the North America Midway Entertainment is bringing 12 new rides, including four family ones.
This year's theme is "Picture This". The fair runs from September 29- October 9.
