CUSHING, Okla. -- Cushing police said they have received several reports of phone scams on Thursday.

The caller, from number 714-928-8493, has identified his/herself as an Internal Revenue Service Agent, demanded immediate action and said law enforcement would be on the way if the resident did not comply.

Police want to remind residents to not give out personal or financial information over the phone.

Residents should contact their local police departments about scams as well as the treasury inspector general.
