Crews are responded Thursday morning to a semi fire and multiple explosions on Interstate 44 in the Tulsa area.

The fire was reported on I-44 near Garnett after a crash between two semis.

One lane of eastbound I-44 have remained closed late Thursday evening.

Officials said one person was inside the truck when the fire and explosions happened. Both semis were fully engulfed in flames. One of the trucks was carrying tires, which is why the flames were so black, officials said.

No serious injuries were reported, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. One driver had minor injuries, but wasn't taken to the hospital.

Tulsa Fire Department and Tulsa Police Department crews are on scene.

Oklahoma Department of Transportation officials are asking drivers to plan on avoiding the area.
