UPDATE - The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office has identified the woman who died in Friday morning's explosion that led to a fire as 65-year-old Helen Yost of Keys, Okla.
PARK HILL, Okla. -- A woman died and a man was taken to the hospital after a fire at a home on Lake Tenkiller on Friday.
The fire is near 28506 Highway 82, 10 miles south of Tahlequah. Officials said there was an explosion at a house in the area, which led to the fire.
A man at the house was flown to a hospital. Officials said they located a female victim who died in the fire.
The Keys, Cookson and Chicken Creek fire departments are all responding to the scene along with several law enforcement agencies.
I’m told the remains of the home are very compacted because the roof collapsed on top of the home. Firefighters are searching through the debris right now trying to put out any remaining fire.
