TULSA -- Crews are responding after a man was hit and killed by a vehicle on Interstate 44 in east Tulsa.
The crash was reported near I-44 and Garnett Road. Police said the man, who was confronted about drug possession, ran onto the interstate during a foot pursuit and was hit by a vehicle.
The man, who police said had a warrant out for his arrest, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Eastbound lanes are closed in the area.
