OKMULGEE COUNTY, Okla. — Creek County Sheriff's Office has confirmed an arrest has been made in connection to the animal abuse of eight-month-old Atlas, the sweet dog who was dumped in a field with his legs strapped together and glue poured in his ears.
Officials say Creek Nation Lighthorse Police arrested 18-year-old Daniel K. Williams on Wednesday on an animal cruelty complaint.
He is being held at the Okmulgee County Jail.
It is unclear if the $10,000 reward will be awarded to an individual for any information that could have led to the arrest of the alleged abuser.
It is a felony to intentionally or maliciously "torture, destroy or kill" an animal, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture. If the suspect is found guilty, he or she could face up to five years in prison or pay a fine of $500.
